As we wind down the year 2013, we can look back at many of the great games that graced the Play Store and our Android smartphones and tablets and say that as Android gamers, we’ve had a great gaming year. Google Play has for its part put together a list of the most popular games on its store this year.
If you’ve been actively following and downloading games all through this year, you’ll find many of these titles familiar to you. Anomaly 2, Asphalt 8: Airborne, Heroes of Dragon Age, Clash of Clans, Rayman Fiesta Run, Plants vs. Zombies are some of the big names that made it to the top. You can find the rest of this list here.
And for the first time since its inception, Google Play conducted a Players’ Choice: Top Google Play Apps and Games poll asking all Android gamers what their favorite apps and games were in 2013. Over a million votes were pooled in specific categories such as “Most Addictive Game”, “Best Franchise Game”, “Best Game Based on a Movie” among others and the accolades went to Knights & Dragons, Bejeweled Blitz, and The Hobbit: Kingdoms respectively.
