Developers lately seem to love bringing old retro video game classics to Android to give them a second chance and a second wind. The latest vintage game to get this Android mobile treatment is Doomdark’s Revenge originally by Mike Singleton. If you don’t know of Doomdark’s Revenge it is the sequel to The Lords of Midnight and was originally released back in 1985.
Doomdark’s Revenge is a game full of story and combines heavy doses of exploration and strategy. Chilli Hugger Software Limited, the developer to bring Doomdark’s Revenge to present day, has done a great job with this remake to say the least. Bright colors abound which still retains that classic feel and in general it is a classic game that retains that “class” and withstands time. Already Doomdark’s Revenge has received great press from PocketGamer, TouchArcade and more praising it.
