Bored? How about downloading another racing game to get your speed fix for the day…no, the month! Namco Bandai just released their latest extreme racing game called Ridge Racer Slipstream which promises to bring console quality racing to mobile devices. We’ve seen a lot of racing games come out lately for mobile that promise exactly that and do kind of succeed, so how does Ridge Racer Slipstream compare?
First off I will say that Ridge Racer Slipstream does require you to have some minimum chipsets, such as Tegra 3, Adreno 225, PowerVR SGX-544 or Mali-400 MP4 . You’ll also need to have at least Ice Cream Sandwich, 1 GB of RAM, a dedicated GPU and at least a duel core processor. With that being said if you have a newer device you’ll be able to experience the powerhouse that is Ridge Racer Slipstream. Features wise there are 12 cars you can drive but are customizable with over 300 possibilities. Track wise there are ten unique venues with 20 races total and another 108 racing competitions among six Grand Prix series. This all fits into the typical career mode as well as the arcade mode. If you like racing games then Ridge Racer Slipstream is a tried and true addition to the series that has a lot of features to keep you occupied.
