Rovio teased us about a new game in the Angry Birds franchise sometime last February and just to make sure you haven’t forgotten about them, they have unleashed the first few screenshots and additional information about the game.
Stella and her friends Poppy, Willow, Dahlia, Luca and Gale have taken up residence in a never-been-seen before part of the Angry Birds Universe called Golden Island. The friends have strong minded personalities that sometimes test their friendship, but their love for fun keeps them together through each and every one of their adventures.
Stella’s story highlights the spirit of female heroism which you will see throughout the game as the girls end up making mischief and mayhem that will eventually test the boundaries of true friendship.
Rovio is expecting to release Angry Birds Stella sometime in September and a fun animation series on the girls’ adventures sometime in November. The cartoon series will be available in 13-episode runs of six-minutes each on ToonsTV, regular TV, and other video services. That’s not all. Hasbro telepods, a series of books and other exciting stuff are planned for release toward the end of the year.
Keep watching this space for more information and updates on the game as it happens.
