If you’re a big fan of the award winning HBO series Game of Thrones, then here’s another chance to get more entangled in the struggles and affairs in Westeros. Game of Thrones Ascent is now available as a text-based adventure game on Android.
You start off by creating your own character, building your noble house and pledging your Fealty to Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon, Tyrell, or Greyjoy houses. You will then strive to earn wealth and fortune through trade and commerce and usurp power through military might and treachery. You will interact with various characters and alliances as you advance through the storyline that tries to mimic the show itself.
Game of Thrones Ascent isn’t an action packed game though. Most of the happenings are about reading text and making choices, and your decisions will have an impact on how the story unfolds.
Game of Thrones Ascent is free to play but comes with all the trappings of a freemium title. In the end it may just be that you could pay yourself all the way up to the Iron Throne, but if that’s okay with you, you can pick up the game and get your fill of pocket sized love, hate, and treachery, HBO style.
