Ouya All Access Pass Gives You Access to Over 800 Games for Just Under $60

Ouya, the Android micro-console that generated a frenzy when it hit Kickstarter has never been able to generate the same level of enthusiasm for its games post-release. The company however, is not taking things lying down. Their latest promotion involves access to their entire library of games for a 12-month non-refundable fee of $59.99.

OUYA All-Access

Ouya owners can purchase the Ouya All Access Pass from the website for the said fee and gain access to over $2000 worth games and IAP content. There is however a $30 cap for individual purchases. The program will not offer all paid games for free; there will still be games that need to be purchased and when the subscription period runs out, all access to the games will be lost. As far as IAPs go, there will be free access to some IAP content such as one time unlocks in the nature of  “ad free” content and “all level” content, but consumable items such as in game currency, ammo, or extra lives will not be covered in the scheme.

The All Access Program is not open to all developers but a select few who will be paid by Ouya for every game and IAP that has been downloaded by the console users. Ouya has instructed the developers not to alter the existing prices while participating in the program without consulting with them.

For Ouya owners, the program is currently available on a one time basis as it is in a sort of a testing phase. If indeed the program does turn out to be successful, we can expect a wider roll-out in the coming months. In fact, it appears that the company is on the right track as they have already sold out their initial passes.

Ouya is hoping that with promotional plans like the All-Access pass, customers will be willing to stick around for a long time on the platform that is facing stiff competition from all quarters. If you are an Ouya owner, let us know what you think of this promotional offer.
