Six months ago we told you about a procedurally generated exploratory game from Crescent Moon Games called Mines of Mars. If you have been patiently waiting for the game to land on the Play Store, you’re in for great news. Mines of Mars is now officially available on the Play Store for $4.99.
Inspired by games like Metroid and Motherload, Mines of Mars is a mining exploration game that will have you scourging the red planet for precious metals and gems which you can then refine to make usable tools, which will in turn help you dig deeper for more.
Mining, crafting and exploration are the key aspects of the game but there’s also a combat element that adds to the tension and atmosphere of the game. Mars, you will discover, after all supports life as plenty of enemies show up at the most unexpected moments.
CMG keeps things engaging by introducing a day/night system, procedurally generated worlds, gravity mining, boss fights, mini games, and a great storyline that strings everything together to offer a good gameplay experience. The developers are also promising to bring co-op mining in a future update.
If you did not book your one way ticket to Mars just yet, why not go for the next best thing: Mines from Mars. This is certainly a game that can give you an enjoyable experience right from the comfort of your own home.
