Blending a mixture between pinball dynamics and straight retro platforming is a new game from a new developer called Smiling Bag in their first independent release. The game is called I Am Level and from the screenshots it is packaged nicely in retro flair that you just have to love. With the mixture of pinball and platforming elements I Am Level is an interesting mobile game that looks like it’ll give you a challenge while still being fun to play.
Based on I Am Level’s description controls are all about flicking, bouncing and rolling your way to victory in the retro themed bizarro world of I Am Level. Controls are all tilt based, so you tilt your device to get the ball rolling and then tapping the screen initiates various pinball elements like flippers and bumpers which bounce you around like you’re in a real pinball cage. I Am Level is free on Android for a limited time (I think around a month) and also is playable over at Kongregate (for free forever).
